Obituary of James Stuart McDougall
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James Stuart McDougall on Saturday November 17th, 2018 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 79th year. Loving husband and best friend of Sylvia McDougall (nee Morgan). Beloved father of Brian (Sandy) McDougall, and Kathy McDougall (Paul Dubue). Dearly loved grandfather of Michael (Andrea) Harris, Matthew (Crystal) Harris, Kaitlyn VanderVelden and Max VanderVelden. Loving “GG Jim” to Caleigh, Bella and Aubrey Harris. Survived by his sister Nancy (Late Ken) Galsworthy and by his brother-in-law Bill (Late Judy) Morgan of Kerwood.Survived by his many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Stuart and Verna McDougall. Jim was a 58 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Sang in many Quartets and Choruses, served in many offices of the organization including District President and Society Board Member. Friends will be received by the family at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges (22424 Adelaide Rd.) on Thursday Nov 22nd from 4pm to 8pm. A memorial service to Celebrate Jims life will be held at the Wesley Knox United Church (91 Askin St., London) on Friday Nov 23rd. commencing at 11am. Rev. Tracy Crick-Butler officiating. Donations to Harmonized for Speech or the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
