Obituary of Donald Lloyd Salter

Donald Lloyd Salter Born June 4th, 1957, Bear Clan suddenly passed away at home Sunday, September 24th, 2023. He leaves behind his wife Heather Nicholas of 37 years. His children Donald Jr., Amber Salter, Gloria John, Brandy John and Grandchildren Patrycja White (Brodie), Skylar Knight, River John, Carrissa, Brodie, Konrad John, two Great Grandchildren.

Don had many brothers and sisters Doug Taylor (Marilyn), Ruth Anne Galera (Vince), John Bentham (Diana), Anita Parker (Harry), Dereck Salter (Nancy), Raquel, Terry, Calvin Salter, Leroy Bunn, and Emanuel Bunn, Diana MacGee (Dave), Dave O’Neil (Kim), Tanya Morgan (John) and Dan O’Neil.

Don will be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Predeceased by brothers Graham, Bill Salter, Fred Green, his mother’s Adelaide Taylor Salter and Betty O’Neil, and his father Lloyd Salter (Anne).

A special acknowledgement to his in-laws Ruby and Josiah Mirasty, who brought Don and Heather together.

Don will be remembered for being a kind man, his sense of humor, a loving husband and father. He dedicated his life to helping others.

Visitation will be at his home residence (22127 Mill Rd.), on Monday, September 25th after 6:00 PM, and on Tuesday, September 26th with a special service at his home at 7PM, but you’re welcome to come anytime throughout the day and evening.

Funeral services will be at the Church of Jesus Christ, Munsee Mission, (20650 Muncey Road) Muncey, Wednesday September 27th at 1 PM.

Following the funeral service there will be provided a luncheon at the Oneida Community Center, (2017 Ball Park Road), Oneida of the Thames First Nation.

Special Yaw^Ko to the Oneida of The Thames Health and Human Services Center for their assistance and support, where Don worked as a Social Worker.

Interment will be later post cremation he will be buried with his mother at Mount Pleasant Cemetery London ON.

Please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.
