Obituary of Gilbert Orion Sutherland
Peacefully, at home on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, Gilbert “Gil” Sutherland of Komoka in his 88th year.
Beloved husband of Joyce Sutherland (nee Munro) for over 66 years. Loved father of Brian Sutherland of London, and Linda (Bill) Dakin of Strathroy. Remembered fondly by five Grandchildren Jordan (Lauren), Adam, Jacob, Lukas Sutherland, and Mikayla (Daniel) Winegarden. Also, two Great Grandchildren Tyler and Briella Sutherland, two Sisters-in-law Barbara and Audrey Sutherland. Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by brothers Walter, Clifford, and infant brother Teddy, as well as sisters Joyce Ann and Verna.
Friends will be received by the family at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home (22424 Adelaide Road), Mount Brydges on Thursday, September 21st from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. A private family interment Mount Brydges Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Park Baptist Church (955 Gainsborough Road) London, Ontario N6G 5C9 or to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
