Obituary of Alma Jane Hathaway

Peacefully, surrounded by family, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Sunday, July 30th, 2023. Alma Jane Hathaway (nee Aylesworth) of Strathroy passed away in her 94th year.
Beloved wife of Laurie Hathaway for 70 years. Cherished mother of Karen (late J.T. in 2023) Kennedy of Sarnia, Barry (Michaelanne) Hathaway of London, Anne (Darryl) Dymond of Kerwood. Predeceased by son Stephen (1955). Grandmother of Charlotte, Madison, Adam & Luke, and Great Grandmother of Barry.
Predeceased by brothers Keith and Donald, sister Margaret and parents Lon and Margaret.
Cremation has taken place.
A private family inurnment will be held at Longwoods Cemetery, Melbourne at a late date.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Season’s Retirement Community, Strathroy, plus Michelle and the staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.
As Alma was a longtime volunteer for the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, donations to the SMGH Foundation or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Alma’s life at an open house on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 1 – 3 PM at Elliott Hall, 22424 Adelaide Road, Mount Brydges, Ontario. There is no need for formal, somber clothes. Alma loved the colours red, fuchsia and other bright colours and her family requests that what you wear matches the cheerful spirit of the gathering.
