Pam was the most giving and funny person. Her children were her greatest joy. Although I haven’t seen her for many years, my memories of her fill my heart. I always knew that a simple trip to a store would turn into something so funny that laughter would take my breath away.
When my daughter was born 31 years ago, she sent a beautifully cross stitched stocking. It hangs on our fireplace every year. A few years ago she made a stocking for my mom too. Her talents were amazing.
I pray that her children are able to find comfort and peace during this difficult time.

I first met first as Pammy Mears’ mom as a child. Then she drove my school bus for a few years. I loved how she greeted me every morning and said good bye at the end of the day.
When I was in grade 6, Mrs. Mears taught my class for part of the year. She was a lovely lady who will be missed.
My sincerest condolences.
Laureen

During the 1980's when l lived in Delaware, Pam and l shared many cups of coffee and sewing sessions. She did wonderful needlework and sewed the most amazing costumes! After a rather messy session involving a Tweedy bird costume, she quippec " the only outfit safe to sew in would be made of parachute material"
Though she lived in town, she was all country at heart. Her blind old pony would eat Mrs. Johnson's roses, a pygmy goat named Wilber stood on the front windowsill when he wanted indoors, and a big pet goose named Martha roamed the yard. A teacher and school bus driver, she used her humour to keep kids in line. I remember when shoes went missing at school, she wrote " these shoes belong to a 40 yr old woman" on her topsiders to keep them safe .
Pammy and Paul, l'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Hugs to you both.

Mrs. Mears was my tutor for most of elementary school and high school. Even though she helped me with my school work, it was her listening and helping me deal with the troubles I faced that really put her a step above. I would be a vastly different person without having met her, and I will always appreciate that.

Pam was an amazing lady and will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Her love of quilting was beyond words and so talented. We were always pleased to see her creations. She sure did like to give you a challenge and she inspired many us to make a “Postage Stamp Quilt”. We were thrilled to make her an Honorary Member of Hearts and Hands and will remember with fondness our outing to the “Little Beaver”. Rest in Peace dear lady.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mother and grandmother. Pam was a lovely lady with a heart of gold, a beautiful quilter and a wonderful friend to the Hearts and Hands Quilt Guild of Elgin County in St Thomas. She donated fabric and quilts to us for our 'comfort quilts' made for the St Thomas Elgin General Hospital over many years. Her work was so beautiful and intricate! We enjoyed many visits with Pam and the Hearts and Hands made her an 'honorary member' of our guild. We will miss her. Our condolences to all her family and those that knew her. Rest in Peace Pam
