I had the privilege to teach Megan in her Grade 6 year at Mary Wright Public School, and she made a lasting impression on me in that one year. Even at a young age, Megan showed dignified strength of character. She always approached challenges calmly and with determination. Megan was so reliable, so humble, and so willing to try her very best that she was a quiet role model to everyone in the room, including the adults. I send my deepest condolences to all of Megan's family and closest friends. The world lost a very special soul, and she will be dearly missed. K. Craig

We met in grade 8 and she was and always will be one of my dearest friends. She helped me feel like I belonged when I transferred schools and she accepted me for who I was. She loved Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, the newer IT film, I remember cause she got me watching them. Always cared for others and was honest to a fault. A true Hufflepuff that will not be forgotten. To her family - thank you for raising her into the amazing person she became, she has touched many hearts and helped countless people, all of you made her happy, please don't ever forget that.

She was such an amazing friend to be around, on my first day at SDCI she helped me find my bus when I couldn’t. On that day I knew that me and her were meant to be friends

I am so grateful that Jen posted the picture of her and Megan from many years ago. That is the Megan I knew. My heart both broke and soared when I saw it. I had the pleasure of teaching Megan when she was in grade one at Antler River Elementary School. Sounds like she did not change a bit over the years. Her love of arts and crafts and all animals, her huge caring heart, and that beautiful smile! She loved singing and dancing back then, too. She did both with reckless abandon. I find myself smiling thinking about how she used to try and “one-up me” with her outfits and shoes. I also remember her Monday journal writing well. She always wrote about the fun she had on the weekends with her parents and Wes. Sending my condolences and strength to her family, friends, and Chippewas of the Thames community. Thank you, Megan, for the great memories and the love you gave and instilled in us all.

Such a beautiful girl with the biggest heart. Meg and I went to school together, and she always had these quirky little jokes that made my day. She was the only one of many friends who had my back when things got rough. My heart broke when I heard the news, and I'm so so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. She will forever be remembered for her bright personality, especially by me. Rest easy Meg...

Megan and I were never very close but I always considered her a friend. In times of need she was always there to lend a shoulder or just as someone to talk to. I realize now just how much I took that for granted. Sending love and thanks to her family for raising such a wonderful person.
