Dr. Carter was the best doctor I’ve ever met. I had a small bump on the side of my hand since I was five, it caused slight discomfort, but I never complained about it. One day when I was at his walk in clinic, he asked if there was anything else I needed. I felt he really cared, so I told him about my hand and he fixed it right there with liquid nitrogen. It took a few seconds and it’s completely gone. Every time I notice it’s not there anymore, I remember how kind he was and how much I miss him. He even knew all of our names and he wasn’t even our family doctor because we had a family doctor in our hometown. He was so young, it’s still a shock today that such a young man passed away. He loved talking about his children and that he would be picking them up after work. Bless his family and May he Rest In Peace.

Just went to the walk-in Clinic and found out the sad news about Dr. Carter passing.
I was seen by Dr. Carter last year and found him to be a grounded and companioned person & Dr.
I to come for NL and it was funny even being here so long he picked up right away and asked so what part of Newfoundland are you from :)
He had special connection with people which transcends the polite chat, which opens us up to real talk...he was a why I would drive across town to see a Dr.
He made me feel liked I mattered.
I will have his family in my prayers

Unfortunate to say I've only just found out, and I'm deeply saddened by the news. Dr. Carter is potentially the most intelligent yet kind and understanding doctor I've had the opportunity to meet throughout the 5 countries I've seen doctors in.
I've many times felt the need to write a thank you card and a small gift after experiencing Dr. Carter (and some of his team) work so efficiently, professionally and ultimately, compassionately. Now, I am only sad that I had not yet had a chance to show my genuine appreciation to him in time. If you are reading this, please know that all his patients thought very highly of him, even after just one visit. I myself often passed up going to closer doctors or ones with less of a wait to see Dr. Carter because I trusted in his medical expertise and also appreciated his kind natured compassion. My thoughts are with his family; of whom he spoke so highly of.

Rest In Peace Dr. Carter. He was my family doctor years ago but he had to take a break for a little while. I've been searching for him for more than a year. After I found him again I was ready to go and see him and tell him how happy I was that he is back and I can have my favourite doctor back. He treated my whole family, we all loved him. I searched for his number to call the clinic when I found his obituary. I could not believe my eyes. I still called the clinic because I did not want to believe that he was gone. They told me he was. I am deeply saddened and heartbroken. My condolences to his family, he talked about his children with such love. You will be missed. R.I.P.

I was only fortunate enough to meet Dr. Carter once at Wharnscliffe on January 20th. I was a mess of anxiety and tears but he was able to calm me down with his kind empathy and understanding way about him. I knew he was special and different from most other doctors. Usually I leave a doctors office feeling disheartened about nothing getting done to solve my health problems but this was the first time I left feeling better emotionally than when I walked in!! I am on the search for a new doctor to help me but Dr. Carter has set the bar so high, I'm not sure I'll ever find a doctor with all the wonderful qualities he had. I am glad to have met him however briefly but terribly sad that someone like him is gone from the world...Much love to you; his family and closest friends and RIP dearest Dr. Carter ~Kim~

To Dr.Carter's family.
I hope this message finds its way to you. I would like to offer my words of condolence and my deepest sympathies to all of you, especially his children. Often when I would bring my daughter in to see him for treatment, he would speak about you. I have never met any of you but I know you were loved.
Dr.Carter was the first doctor to listen to me. I had gone undiagnosed for 37 years with an illness called Ankylosing Spondylitis. I had seen so many doctors and they all were quick to prescribe me anti depressants etc. They all felt my condition was in my head. Dr. Carter was the first and only doctor who really cared, took the time to investigate and to properly diagnose my condition. Once he did, he referred me to a specialist but he still maintained interest in my health and would follow up with me. Not only would he helpnwith the physical condition, often I would find myself breaking down in his office as I was struggling with my body not working and with my diagnosis. He was always a good ear despite the number of people in the waiting room. He truly was an incredible doctor. I always felt like he really cared about me and my daughter.
When we heard the news of his passing today it came at a time when I was telling a friend of mine who owns a walk in clinic that she needed to bring him on as a doctor, she then told me of his passing. I immediately broke down in tears. I felt abandoned by the one person on the planet who has helped me both physically and mentally. Often I was so depressed and upset about being dealt a bad hand with my condition and he was a consistent cheer leader with my best interest at heart. I'm sure you all feel abandoned, but his struggle must have been so real for his kind compassionate man to leave us so early.
My daughter is equally saddened by his passing. Anytime she is sick she always says "Dr.Carter will make me feel better " and that he did. His bedside manner was second to none, he treated his patients with kindness and compassion second to none.
We will miss Dr. Carter very much, he was loved by us...and we hope he finds peace now and no longer struggles. I'm confident his is watching over all of his family and his patients.
His death is such a tragic unfortunate loss for the medical community and for all who knew him.
Our thoughts are with all of you, his family, the ones he loved above all others.
Sabrina & Addison

.to his family. Your grief and sadness can only be tempered by knowing what he did for patients and people. When dr. carter took me on I was desperate for a family doctor who actually would support me and believe my illnesses. He did far more than that. He listened, supported strongly . went out of his way to write me support letters, and always knew I had a budget. His caring way was unmatched. I was lucky enough to know him for 2 years.
I had a doctor like him when I was a lad back in scarborough. His kind. sadly do not often come around in the sometimes cruel health care world A prayer for him and to his family, He really saved me..

Goodbye my friend I had to say
A few days ago on a cold winter day
I'll remember the good times and try not to be sad
But saying goodbye still hurts so bad.

Looking down on us with all your love
