I have such fond memories of June, especially from when I’d visit the library when I was a kid. She always remembered me and my interests, and made me feel welcomed and accepted and safe. I can only imagine how many others in our community also received such kind attention. A seemingly small but hugely important contribution to all our lives and to the health & character of our community. It’s a great legacy. Thank you June!

We struggled (for days now) to find the words to express to our cousins, and their families, our deep condolences for your loss!
Ron, June and Philip all in one year.
Impossible to imagine, we can only guess at how difficult for the family to deal with.
I have so many memories of our families getting together over so many years.
Now everyone seems so far away and even if you were not, we still would not have been able to grieve together with you during this ongoing pandemic that makes the physical separation even more difficult.
We trust that the memories of happier times will help you through the days to come.
Attached is a memory of Most of us all together.
Wish I still owned that hat.
Love and hugs from Gary and Lily Scott

I grew up just down from Ron & June. She was my brownie leader & Librarian. Such a staple of life in Komoka in the 80s.
My condolences.

I am so sorry to hear that June Davis passed away. She was a lovely lady who was our substitute teacher at Parkview Public School. She kept the class in order and made us do the lessons the teacher had prepared. Later she was the librarian at the Komoka Library. My parents enjoyed seeing her there on their weekly visit. I think she was involved in the Guiding movement at the Komoka United Church as well. She was a busy lady - such a loss. My deepest sympathy. Cora Dehoog

Please accept our sincere condolences in the passing of June. As long time Komoka residents, we knew both June and Ron for many years. June was a wonderful mentor through the years that I was a Brownie leader with her. She always had a friendly smile and generous nature. Vikki and Mike Searle.

To June's Family:
Sending condolences to you at this sad time. I worked with June at the library from 1982 until she retired, and then continued to see her there regularly after that. She was so very passionate about so many things and I have many fond memories of time spent with her. In my garden, I still have an Evening Primrose that she gave me a long time ago. I think of June every time I watch its petals unfurl at sunset. She was a fine, lovely person and the world will miss her.
With much sympathy,
Barbara Dale
