Obituary of Bernardina Picanco

Bernadina Da Silva Picanco passed away of Coronavirus at Country Terrace Nursing Home on Dec 23rd 2020.  Dina was in her 92nd year of life, and succumbed to the illness 8 days after testing positive.  Dina was predeceased by her daughter Ana Canario( 2018) and former husbands Frank Picanco, and Joaquim Bras De Carvalho.   She will fondly be remembered by grandson Paulo Canario, his wife Mary Joe Canario great grandchildren Ethan and Rowan.  Also survived by grandson living in Calgary Nuno Canario, wife Cherrie, and great grandchildren Cruz and Julianna. 

Dina was born in Alvaiazere Portugal, then lived in Luanda Angola, then moved to Cambridge Ontario in 1977 to live with her family.  Dina was a talented seamstress and made beautiful clothing and crotchet.  Dina loved to talk and always had a big smile, she enjoyed her last few years spending quality time with her grandson Paulo and making friends with the staff and residents at County Terrace. 

Due to health regulations, Dina had a private burial service on Dec 24th, at Strathroy Municipal Cemetery, 585 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy, ON.
