Obituary of Ross Robert McTaggart

Ross Robert McTaggart of Delaware, Ontario, at the age of 81. Loving husband of Bev McTaggart (nee Arbuckle); after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease Ross passed peacefully on January 11, 2020 at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy. Born on September 21, 1938 to the late John “Fergus” and Helen (Roy) McTaggart. Ross worked at London Life from high school through to his retirement in 1995. Ross was a Village Trustee in Delaware for more than 20 years and Councilor and Deputy Reeve of the Twp. of Delaware for 12 years. He was a Mason with the Delaware Masonic Lodge, a Charter member and past President of the Delaware Lions Club and was actively involved in Minor Sports. Ross had a passion for many things including water skiing, racquetball, community service and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Beverley May Darlene (Arbuckle) McTaggart; three children Gregory Ross McTaggart, Daniel John McTaggart (Shelley), Cynthia Darlene (McTaggart) Kirkey (Dean); four grandchildren Paul Daniel McTaggart, Erica Ann McTaggart, Luke Michael Kirkey, Logan Gary Kirkey; three sisters Jean (McTaggart) Glover (Deane), Dorothy (McTaggart) Harreschou (Michael), Marion (McTaggart) Loker (Herb). Friends will be received by the family at the Elliott- Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Friday January 17th from 6pm - 9pm for visitation. Funeral Service to follow on Saturday from the funeral home commencing at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkinsons Society of Southwestern Ontario.
