Obituary of Irene Germaine Cattrysse

Irene Germaine Cattrysee (nee Wardenier) was surrounded by her loving family when she went peacefully to be with her Lord at the age of 95. Her journey through life began May 25, 1924 when she was born in Klerken, Belgium. Her journey ended June 18, 2019 in Sarnia, Ontario. Loving wife to the late Julien Cattrysse (2005). Loving mother to Dianne and Tony Strybosch, Elaine Cattrysse, Maurice Cattrysse (Janet Kell), Linda Cattrysse, Lorraine and Mark Colpaert, and daughter-in-laws Sharon Cattrysse and Wendy Cattrysse. Survived by 24 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Helaire Wardenier (1973) and Marie Wardenier (1974), son Jerome Cattrysse (2012), son-in-law Michael Baran (2002), and great grand-daughter Candace Nooyen (2000). Irene will be remembered for her kindness, her great sense of humor and her love of gardening, flowers and shopping trips. Visitation will be held at Elliott-Madill Funeral Home on Thursday, June 20 from 5pm to 9pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21,2019 at All Saints Parish, Strathroy commencing at 10:30am. Interment Strathroy Cemetery.
