Obituary of Willem Teunis Bouwmeester

BOUWMEESTER, Willem Teunis (Bill) of London and formerly of Mt. Brydges, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Chartwell Long Term Care on December 9, 2018 in his 83^rd year.  Beloved husband for 62 years of Patricia (Vanderelst).  Loving father of Ellen, Bill (Sheila), Harold (Gorrett) , Carrie (George) McClean, Jennifer (Matt) Muller.  Proud Opa of Angie (Jason), Scott (Kendra), Rachael, Sarah, Ryan, James, Ian, Karina, Eric, and Nathan.  Great Opa of Evalena and Hannah.  Survived by his brother Tony (Marianne).  

Bill immigrated from Holland at the age of 18 seeking a better life, and he was the proud owner of Bill’s Roofing of Mt. Brydges for many years.   Bill enjoyed many summers at his cottage in Rondeau Park and wintering in Aruba.  Bill had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  Friends and family will be received at Elliott Madill Funeral Home of Mt. Brydges from 7-9 pm on Thursday December 13 .  Private ceremony to follow at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory can be made to The Salvation  Army or The Canadian Diabetes Association.
