Obituary of May Hutton

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Thursday May 10, 2018,  M. "May" Hutton (nee Baxter) of Glencoe in her 85th year.  Predeceased by her husband Donald (1985). Also predeceased by son Wilfred (1999).  Loving companion of Gord Urquhart of 30 plus years.  Loving Mother of Margaret (Tuffin) (Don Muscutt), Donna DaHaan, Shirley (Gerald) Brewster, Cliff (Heather), Les (Mark), Raymond (Kathy).  Survived by daughter-in-law Judy.  Cherished grandmother to 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.  Remembered by brother Floyd Baxter, predeceased by siblings Donald Baxter and Harold Bancroft.  Predeceased by Lynn (Mummsy) and Evan Urquhart.  Predeceased by parents Carl and Olive Baxter.

A Poem for Mother

Mother, you were just a girl,
So many years ago.
You had your loves and had your dreams,
You watched us come and go.
You watched us make the same mistakes,
That you had made before,
But that just made you hold us tight,
And love us all the more.
We haven't always thought about
The things that you have seen.
To us you've just been "Mother",
No thought of who you've been.
But we remember now in love,
Your life from start to end,
And we're just glad we knew you,
As Mother, and as a Friend.
