I just wanted to post one of my favourite stories of myself and mom..actually I’ll write two.
Mike Sue and I decided to go off the property and go exploring the shack in a derelict pasture meant for a large herd of cattle. We searched and looked all over and couldn’t see any cattle . So the three of us move on out to the shack to explore.. it was so interesting , everything from a medical shelf with needles and stuff! Anyway after about an hour we all heard some strange noises coming from outside..you guessed it, there were cattle there around 50-75 in fact, they had put in a couple days before... so here we are scared to come out, well mike made me scared because there was a bull in with the heard.. so Mike took off first , he ran a little bit but knowing cattle the way we do he knew he wasn’t in any trouble...then sue went , but she ran all the way, because she saw the bull. Now here is Mike and Sue on the side road yelling at a shack in a field and then they both saw mom at the top of the hill of the side road so angry , I swear you could see steam rising but, the interesting thing that all of us focused on was the blue fly’s water ! It was my turn to run from the shack and yes the bull gave me a hand getting over the fence and I didn’t make it passed mom and her blue flyswatter ! Lo l

I have fond memories of my visits first to the store and then to the farm. As I read the beautiful story of her life, I realize there was so much more to her than I knew at the time.
What I do know is she was genuinely interested, and interesting in her chats at the kitchen table, she had a cool factor in my eyes when she went to university to study psychology.
I remember fondly her laugh, her smile, her strength and confidence in her matter of fact approach to life.
I honor her life and know her essence lives on in her family that she loved so dearly.
Love Lou

Dear John, Sue and Family:
My husband Mike told me I must take the time to read your mother's obituary, and I did just that. What a beautiful tribute to your mom and her life. She and her Johnny (your dad) are re-united again at last.
I was truly honoured to deliver flowers to your mom on your behalf and always took a minute to speak to her if she was awake and in her room when I delivered. Your dad was always a gentleman and I loved to visit with him when he was alive. John, I believe you are this same gentleman. You kids were granted strong loving roots with your parents.
I did not know my father, as he passed away when I was only 4 years old but one thing I know for sure, is I was blessed with a wonderful mother also. How blessed we are when we have the gift and love of a supportive family.
I hope our floral tributes brought you comfort on your parting day. Thank you for trusting me with this farewell gift.
I send my sincere condolences to all of you and wish you all the strength you need to come to a place of acceptance of your loss.
It is never easy and you never forget someone who gave you so much to remember. Keep your parents' memories alive in everything you do.
Kind regards.

To the Fekete family:
My sympathy to you in the loss of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a friendly, kind lady and her family was so very important to her. I like to think of John, Michael and she being united again. I know the lost of a child and she and John were very comforting to Laverne and I when we lost David. Anne will be remembered with kindness. May God bless you at this sad time. Shirley Cobban
