Obituary of Hendrika Wilhelmina Maria Ploegmakers
Hendrika Wilhelmina Ploegmakers (nee van Vonderen) passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2025, in her 92nd year at University Hospital, London, Ontario.
She was born May 16th, 1933, in Bakel, Netherlands, daughter of the late Hendrikus and Maria van Vonderen. She was the beloved wife of Anthony, who predeceased her in 2008. Loving mother of Paulina and Michael.
She was an active member of the CWL. She enjoyed listening to music, travelling, couldn’t resist a great game of cards and twirling around the dance floor.
She is survived by her siblings, Bert Sjaak, Frans and Marietje, all of the Netherlands.
She was predeceased by her sister Nelly, brother Dirk and sister Corry. Her memory will forever remain the hearts of her many nieces and nephews, both in Canada and the Netherlands.
As per Hendrika’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
