Obituary of Vera Lucy Florsteen Berencsi

With heavy hearts, unexpectedly at Four Counties Hospital, Middlesex Hospital Alliance, on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, Vera (Carleton) Berencsi passed away, at age 81.

Predeceased by her husbands, Andy Berencsi (2016), and Milan Djordjevic (1997).

Dearly loved Mother to Rebel (Dave)Ronne, Lisa (Wayne)Sutherland, Debi (Dave) Cutler, Petar Djordjevic, and predeceased by her son, Milan Djordjevic (2012). Second Mother to Zoran (Dijana) Djordjevic, Zorica (Zoran) Loncar, and Verica Milic.

Vera will be very missed by all of her 18 Grandchildren, and 25 Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Fondly loved and cherished, Vera leaves behind her many siblings and has now joined her predeceased siblings, a very large family of brothers and sisters that she cherished.

Vera was the daughter of Ralph Carleton(predeceased) and Lucille (Moreau) Bourque (predeceased).

Vera enjoyed painting, sewing and quilting, bingo, darts and Nevada tickets! Vera was a current member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 251, in Mt. Brydges and enjoyed her club ladies very much.

Visitation will be held at the Elliott Madill Funeral Home, 22424 Adelaide Road, Mount Brydges, where friends and family will come together to celebrate Vera’s life, on Monday, September 2nd, from 7-9 p.m.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 3rd, at 11 am, Francis Down officiating, followed by interment at Mount Brydges Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mt Brydges Legion, Branch 251 Ladies Auxiliary,

Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center, Mt. Brydges, ON, or a charity of one’s choice.
