Obituary of Robert James Stoddart
We are sad to announce the passing of Robert James Stoddart of Strathroy, Ontario at the age of 82. Bob was born on 19 July 1941 in Kirkland Lake Ontario.
Bob played hockey as kid and enjoyed following all the sports that his children and grandchildren played through out the years. Hockey, Baseball, Martial arts to name a few. He was an avid car racing fan, having attended well over 100 Nascar, Indy and Sprint car races.
Bob went to Devry Tech and started his working career with IBM (Toronto and Winnipeg) in the 70's. Bob then found his entrepreneurial spirit and he and his first wife Penny became business owners of the John Deere Dealership in Beausejour, Manitoba (78-86) Bob returned with the family to London Ontario, working in several positions in renovations and sale. Life took a few turns, and he ended his working career as a Correctional Officer at Elgin Middlesex where he met his second wife Evelyn.
Bob was predeceased by his parents James and Elda (Walker) Stoddart. He leaves behind his most precious joys, his children Brody, James, and Kristy. Grandchildren Stephen (Korin), Nicholas, Kai (Deejay), Emilee and Rhys. Greatgrandchildren, Paul, Rowen, Quinn, and Payten. Bob had many family memories and reconnected as much as possible over the years with his cousins Marg (Carl), Jean (Doug), friends (Gary Lowe) and maintained valuable relationships with his first wife and mother of the children Penny Stoddart (Nosworthy) and his second wife Evelyn Woods.
Dad, you will be missed every day!
