Obituary of Johannes (John) Gerardus de Jeu
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 of Johannes (John) G. de Jeu of Delaware, Ontario at the age of 82, after a six-year battle with cancer.
John is survived by his wife Marie, children Theresa, Stephen (Veronica), Carolyn (Dean), Michael (Phuong), and grandchildren Marian, Claire, Ryder, Olivia, Zoe, and Lucas.
John immigrated to Canada from Holland in 1952 and later became an electrician, starting his own business in 1976. He was a man of great integrity – both at work and throughout his life.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful health care workers who took such great care of him at Victoria Hospital and Parkwood Institute.
As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Mass to Celebrate John’s life will be held at All Saints Parish, 124 Front Street, Strathroy, on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, commencing at 11 am.
