Obituary of Aleksandra Mieczyslawa Poplawski

POPLAWSKI, Aleksandra Mieczyslawa, surrounded by her loving family, passed away too soon at the age of 63 in her devoted daughter and son in law’s home. Aleksandra ‘Oleńka’, was born November 2nd, 1952 in Stary Sącz, Poland. She was the youngest of four children, daughter of Vincent and Olga Marszalek. Beloved and cherished Mama of Matthew, Alice (Stephen Crowe), predeceased by twin daughters Christina and Barbara, and Grandma to her favorite pups, Prince and Ollie. Ollie was Aleksandra’s constant companion and shadow during her difficult journey. Aleksandra was adored by her family and those that knew her. She is tremendously missed by her children. Aleksandra was an elegant, stoic, kind, and beautiful woman. She was an avid gardener and was passionate about design. She lived life showing great respect for nature and all living things. Her favorite times were spent vacationing with her children in Kaszuby, picking wild mushrooms, kayaking and enjoying the fresh air. A special ‘thank you’ is given to the nursing staff of Saint Elizabeth’s, and VON for the care and support given. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Donations can be sent to Elliott-Madill Funeral Home. “I love you like you love me too, forever and ever”, “Love you, love you mama” Cremation has taken place. At a later date, an intimate family celebration of life will be held.
