Obituary of Lois Doane
Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge with her family by her side on Friday, January 26th, 2024, Lois Doane (nee: Fergusson) formerly of South Caradoc in her 79th year.
Beloved Wife for 56 years of Ron Doane. Loving Mother of Allan (Jane), Richard (Tammy), and Carol Ann (Bryan) Regier. Proud Grandma of Sydney, Jordan, Matthew, Andrew, Nathan, Emma, Nicole, Alicia, and Natalie. Dear Sister of Gerald (Marg) Fergusson.
Lois and Ron lived in South Caradoc, working side by side on the family farm and later at the Caradoc Delaware Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Lois was an active member of the South Caradoc community, singing and praying at their beloved United Church, enjoying the fellowship of the UCW and quietly contributing and serving at the countless events at the Community Centre, never looking for credit or praise.
Lois had a love of baking, her freezer always filled with cookies and squares, handy when anyone stopped by. She also loved gardening, her gardens overflowing with flowers and vegetables for all to enjoy.
She adored her grandchildren and treasured their time together, especially making and eating special treats.
Family will receive friends at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm where the funeral service will be held on Thursday commencing at 11 am.
Interment Woodhull Cemetery, Kilworth, Ontario.
